What I dream of is an art of balance.

September Art Class

Hello everyone. Hope you all had a good Labor day weekend and are enjoying the hint of Fall we've been experiencing the last few days. A welcome change, I'm sure.

It was a remorseful September 11 yesterday, but also one that makes me think of referring to it as "International Integration Day." This is a time when the world is immersed in profound emotions, when some barely got done with Mother Mary's birthday celebration, some are welcoming a new year with Rosh Hashanah, some bidding farewell to a favorite month and giving thanks with Eid ul-Fitr, some are singing Happy Birthday to Lord Ganesha with Ganesh Chaturthi and some are asking for forgiveness with Michhami Dukkadam. As each individual group plays its part with reverence to its own God, our integrated world plays a balancing act of happiness and sadness.

  Upcoming Exhibitions
I am working on a few new paintings for some really exciting exhibitions coming up later this year. My paintings made it into two very reputed art centers, i.e. the Herberger Theater Center and ASU Gammage, both support and encourage the growth of artistic excellence. "The beautiful Upper Steele Pavilion, is home to Herberger's Art Gallery, showcasing Arizona artists who touch the heart and imagination of everyone who enters the theater. " "ASU Gammage is among the largest university-based presenters of performing arts in the world." I will give you more details about both exhibitions in the next couple newsletters, so stay tuned.
